Welcome to Freitag Design.

Katrin Freitag is a Textile Designer from the South of Germany. Her studios are in Bavaria and in an old textile mill in Yorkshire, England, where she is currently working on new fabric designs.

For the last few months she has been working on an assortment of textile jewellery including necklaces, pins and brooches. She also does figurative embroidery and text on vintage linen and silk quilts. Some of the things she has made are available in her online shop.

She takes inspiration from the traditional use of fabrics and then experiments with unusual treatments and combinations of materials. She likes to develop new designs by working with all kinds of textiles, material and scrap paper.

These things she designs and creates make ideal presents. She also makes bespoke items to create personal, unique and special gifts.
